How we use images and how to request removal if you believe your rights have been infringed. Last updated: June 2026.
Image Policy
Hidden Anime sources images from verified Creative Commons repositories (primarily Wikimedia Commons), official YouTube embeds, Amazon product listings via the Amazon Associates Programme, and original photography from our editors. Each image is logged with its source URL, licence and access date.
We do not publish anime screencaps, manga scans, fan art without permission, or images taken from search engines, fan sites or unofficial aggregators.
Rights Holders
All rights to anime titles, manga, character designs, studio names, franchise names, logos and related intellectual property remain with their respective rights holders. Hidden Anime does not claim ownership of any third-party property used in editorial context.
Creative Commons images are used in accordance with their stated licences. Attribution is published alongside every image used under CC licence.
No Absolute Guarantee
We take care to source images correctly, but we do not claim that every use on this site is unconditionally free of third-party rights. If you believe a specific image or piece of content infringes your rights, please contact us using the process below. We will review it promptly.
Takedown Process
To request removal of content, contact us at hiddenanimenews@gmail.com with:
- The URL of the specific page where the content appears.
- A description of the content in question (image, text, embed).
- Your name or the name of the rights holder you represent.
- A brief statement explaining how the content infringes your rights.
We respond to all copyright notices within 48 hours. If the claim is credible, the contested content may be taken down immediately while we verify, before the review is complete.
Response Timeline
- Within 48 hours: acknowledgement of your request.
- Immediately upon credible claim: contested image or content may be removed while under review.
- After review: confirmed infringing content is removed permanently. Content found not to infringe may be restored with an explanation.
